New shed and decking oil

Can I use decking oil to seal my new shed? I want the grain to show through, but all the wood coloured shed paint looked a bit orange.. there was too much choice in b&q!

I don't see why not. We bought a wooden bear statue type thing and were advised to use decking oil in him

Depends how rough the wood is. If the wood isn't planed smoothly, decking oil would be difficult to apply - you could do it with a brush but not with a cloth.
