Hello

These little black insects are all over my Mock Orange. Is there any way I can get rid of them naturally?

Thank you

blackfly. Type of aphid

Def aphids. You need ladybirds or to wash off the aphids using a soapy solution. Some people use insecticidal solutions, available in garden centres.

If you spray them twice a day with a weak solution of water and washing up liquid this will get rid and do minimal harm.

They look like black fly. I’ve successfully got rid using water with a small amount of washing up liquid in (ecover or similar) in spray bottle - plus physically then cleaning or spraying off the remaining dead ones.
There are chemical things you can buy but washing up does as well.

You can try mixing a little washing up liquid with water and spraying it on. Not as good as stronger chemicals but it helps.

Thanks all, I'll give that a try.

Ladybird larvae feed on aphids. If you spray with water and washing up liquid, it will of course kill the ladybird larvae too.
