How much to water?

Quick question....

I've just planted some plants in our new border... in this heat how often/much should I be watering them??

We tend to kill all our plants, but we are determined to keep these ones going!

I don't want to water too much and kill them with kindness!

You can but a small water moisture tester for about £5.

In terms of quantity think buckets rather than small jugs. In the ground you're unlikely to be able to overwater at this time of year in this weather.

Better to water lots every couple of days rather than more frequent dribbles. Witch explains why.
