What's this shrub?

I saw this shrub in someone's garden, liked it, then saw it in the garden centre and bought it.
However, it is incorrectly labelled and was the last one in the shop.

I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me what it is.

The flowers are pink.

Is it a tamarix?
