To pull a not to pull.....this not v attractive plant. Has it self seeded or has it been planted deliberately? It's in a kind or herbaceous border bed. It's under fruit trees so could be an offshoot?

TIA,

Thank you. All gone now (see photo) and definitely a tree.

May I ask what this second plant is. It's low and spread around a largish area. Is it some kind of herbaceous plant?

Thanks!

That looks like Japanese anemone to me. I like them, but they do tend to spread so keep them where you want them and pull out if they're encroaching on other plants you like.

Looks like wood avens to me - geum urbanus. A weed, little yellow flowers.

Japanese anemone or windflower - yup, a herbaceous perennial, pretty, flowers summer through to autumn, but inclined to be invasive if not kept under control.

Great thanks. I'm glad it's something pretty. When should it flower? (We are in the North of Scotland so things happen later here)
