Hello,
Some advice regarding this patch is appreciated. It used to be a children’s play area abd we have dug it up and installed new fence to hide neighbour’s clutter.Fairly large plot 64 sq metre, south facing garden ,so gets a lot of sun.
I have toyed with putting a 2m wide bed along fence and having a raised bed on the other side for herbs and vegetables and turfing the rest. Not a very experienced gardener and not enough time to tend to loads of veggies etc.
Should I do that or should I just have 2 or more raised beds? What would one of you do with this space?
Any ideas gratefully received.

As it is a sloping site, I'd be inclined to go with one raised bed, and have the border alongide the fence. Have you thought about turning the raised bed the other way round and having it across either the top or the bottom rather than down the side? Gravel tends to make its way to the bottom of a slope, so grass would be better for the rest of it, with maybe some inset stepping stones.

I’d also turn the raised bed the other way and make lower one for flowerIng plants. Flowers grown from seeds for a cutting garden would be lovely. You could still plant climbers, roses or cordon fruit trees along the fence.

Sorry probably didn’t explain properly. I’d make the beds horizontal, with only the climbers, fruit tree bed running along the fence. If you put your veg bed towards the back, the runner beans would hide your shed from view.
