Fruit trees

I've got a significant birthday this year and someone has suggested that they buy me some fruit trees as I'm a very enthusiastic (but not very knowledgeable) gardener.

The issue is that I'm renting and so would like something that will grow (and produce) in pots.

Any ideas?

If you go onto the garden supplier websites there are lots that can be grown in pots. To get fruit you often need at least two for pollenation (depending on the variety).

Fruit trees are in short supply at the moment though

I got some like these, but from somewhere else www.jparkers.co.uk/fruits-vegetables/fruit-trees/patio-dwarf-fruit-trees

We've just planted a fig tree in a pot and it's looking fantastic already. Just put it in a sunny spot, ideally against a wall.
