Pelargoniums

I’ve ordered some pelargoniums
/geraniums from the local garden centre and they are being delivered tomorrow. Is it too soon to plant them out? They are for patio tubs. I don’t have the space to plant them and then bring the tubs in at night but I should keep them in their packs until the end of the month?

It depends where you live.
I am right down in the south and we leave them in the ground over winter and cut them back in the spring. Obviously there's a slight risk but so far, so good!
I would say in most areas they would be fine now.

Thank you. We are in the midlands.

I'm in Yorkshire.

I have a couple inside that are already flowering well. One in a sheltered corner outside which is just starting to flower and others in open spots outside that died back over the winter but are growing strongly now.

It’s getting colder next week, so I’d keep them inside until Mid May.

Great, thank you, I will keep them in for now.
