Busy bloody lizzies

I cant seem to grow the buggers.

Seeds gently sprinkled on top of moist compost, then covered with the little clear plastic lid, plenty of sunlight but still nothing. I've tried different brands wilkinsons, Thompson's, Mr Fothergills, etc

Any advice where I'm going wrong? I love Busy Lizzies but I just cant seem to get them to germinate.

I put them in the compost, if that makes a difference.

I like them too. I think of them as a ‘better value pansy’.
