Plant Id please!

My neighbour has just given me some perennials...lots of rudbeckia but also these and he couldn’t remember their name!

I know there are poppy leaves in the top pot but I’m not sure what the main plant is in either pot? Anyone have any idea? Thank you

Top one looks like a penstemon, bottom one no idea.

I think your bottom one may be a Centaurea montana - ask him if it has blue thistle-like flowers in Summer?

I agree with post posters.The Centaurea will eventually spread and if you dead head will flower all summer.
