What's this plant?

It's dangling down in a big bush and looks lovely and pink. Is anyone able to identify it at all? Thanks

I can't help as I'm a gardening novice but I downloaded a free app called Picture This which is amazing. I just take a photo of the leaves on the plant and it instantly tells me what it is!

They might be tamarisk flowers, what does the whole bush look like?

@adacoleman I think you're right. Unfortunately the garden is a mess and there's ivy covering the stump it's growing off from. I've just moved into a new house and I'm a bit out of my depth with the mature garden.

Yes, I see there is a little frond type leaf stem on the photo, that looks right for tamarisk. They are a lovely tree. Are you near the coast, they seem to do well in coastal areas.

@adacoleman I'm actually in the midlands. It's certainly a lot of figuring everything out. I had lovely tulips spring up a little while ago. It certainly looks like a garden that was very much loved at some point.
