What is this caterpillar?

Not sure if this is the right place, but seemed the most likely!

Can anyone identify this caterpillar, purely for my interest? Found two of them hiding under a bin in my garden (SE England).

I think its a brown tail moth caterpillar, they are very itchy if you touch them.

I agree, Brown Tail moth. Don't touch them, they can cause a nasty rash.

Google for their foodplant, and put them nearby. But they may just be looking for a place to pupate.
