Moving a honeysuckle

Is it mad to move a honeysuckle now?

It’s been in place about 3 years but never thrived. I cut it back in the autumn and forgot about it, now I’ve found another spot I might try it in.

Is this the wrong time or do you think I might get away with it?

Most plants are moved in Autumn but honeysuckle are tough so you can do it now. Water it thoroughly before you dig it up . I would lift it I’m the evening when it is cool. Trim some of the roots for ease of replanting and prune it well. Keep it well watered for the first couple of weeks and it will be fine.

Yes thank you, I’ve done it. It wasn’t happy where it was so I figured there wasn’t much to lose. Fingers crossed
