Both of these have self seeded in my pots but definitely look plants not weedy if that makes sense?! Any ideas?

The first one is a conifer, possibly one of many varieties of chamaecyparis, difficult to tell yet. The seed was probably in the compost when you bought it, or has maybe come from a nearby tree.

Second one - no idea.

That would make sense apart from there are no trees anywhere near, and the pot has been planted for 3 years. You have sent me on a conifer googling marathon though, maybe a juniper?
