Help me plant this bed

So I am very new to gardening and have this bed that I would like to plant up with flowers but I have no clue where to start!
It is in full sun for pretty much all of the day and drains very well.
Ideally I would like to plant flowers that come back every year so assuming this will be perennials? Also I have read about blooming schedules so that you have a constant streaming of flowering plants through the season but again have no idea.
Can you all give me ideas about what I could plant here either from seed/seedlings?

@BobTheDuvet thanks so much! I did think lavender but there were so many different types, I didn't know where to start. Are there any that you recommend specifically and could I plant all of those from seed? Just think the logistics of getting ready grown plants at the moment might be a little tricky.

All of the above and possibly Armeria, common name thrift. Pink and white varieties and as long as you dead head them they flower all summer.
Aubretia is pretty in spring and as it looks dry maybe some alpines.

I have aubretia which is flowering now it's very pretty. I love saxifrage too its very pretty. I'd stick some nemesia in there, it flowers all summer, bees love it and it smells lovely. Only half hardy though so it would die over winter - worth it in my opinion, I love them

Thanks all! Liking all of the suggestions so far. Just need to source the plants now...

How would you plant them, all mixed in together or one type per step?

If all mixed in together, I imagine I need to work out which grow tallest and put them nearest the wall and work my way towards the steps with smaller plants?
