I can’t find any independent reviews, only a handful on amazon. I would buy the 16mm as 2mm must be v flimsy.

The owner is a mumsnetter - she had a thread on here a few years ago asking for business name ideas. Isn't it 5mm the thinnest they do? I want some to replace our crumbling trellis, but I'm not sure I can justify the cost plus DP will probably only entertain the most conservative design.

I remember all that and her choosing her business name ... but I’m after independent reviews, struggling to find them. Yes it’s 5mm, I didn’t have my glasses earlier 😂.

Hi. I’m wondering whether you continued with your purchase from Screen with Envy & if so how did. You rate the experience? I’m having a dreadful time with them at the moment. I ordered £845 worth of screens a week ago last Monday & they still haven’t turned up despite their website saying they would be delivered by 25th March. I feel sick with worry that we’ve lost our money. I’ve rung them every day & I feel I’m being fobbed off. They are now saying my order could be lost but that can’t give me a refund or send out more screens until their courier company confirm they’ve been lost. I’ve got paperwork from the courier which states quite clearly they’ve never received my screens. I just don’t know where to go to get this sorted.

How did you pay? If you paid by card, contact the bank if by debit card. They can do a chargeback if you've proof the delivery company haven't received the goods from the retailer. If by credit card and the cost was over £100 they can refund you.

You've 14 days cooling off time for online purchases like this so you can cancel on that basis and insist on a refund.

I ordered from Screen with Envy then had a change of heart and cancelled. They refunded with no issues. This was last year.

Sorry, I missed you had put the cost in your post.

I had no idea what these were and was curious to find out. They look lovely. I've just googled and a lot of their latest Trust Pilot reviews are not good. Not sure I'd be ordering based on that.

Many thanks for your reply. Bizarrely my screens arrived yesterday! I had an e mail from SWE late Tuesday evening! I thought maybe the owner had seen my post on here! I did pay through my PayPal account so I think I may have been able to use them. Anyway, it turned out ok. I think they need to remove the countdown clock on the order page guaranteeing delivery if you order by a certain time. Thank you. Have a good Easter.

I think they had some supply issues due to the pandemic and the lead times were longer than usual when I ordered last year.

We are having a complete nightmare and it's causing us so much stress. Can't tell you how much time has been wasted chasing them. At one point I was contacting them 3x a day. We ordered over £1100 of products mid July. Ordered on the Friday and checked on chat before ordering the items they were in stock, were told one item wasn't but would be dispatched on the Monday. That evening we got a message to say it would be 3 weeks wait. The gate came into stock a few weeks later but our order wasn't processed immediately so then another item went out of stock and then they went out of stock of the gate again. Our current estimate (now out 5th promise AFTER they sent the fences last month) is mid Oct. 3 months after our order. Customer service don't care and have no power to do anything. They've had my money for 3 mths and continue to run promotions despite not being able to get or control stock. Meanwhile I have a garden with no fencing that 3 Yr old can run straight onto a road and a new driveway well need to dig up to fit the posts. 😠

We are also having a nightmare with them. They are deliberately not giving customers their money back when they don’t provide the goods! They are not a reputable company! They delete any posts you put on any social media to prevent you from warning others. Apparently on Glassdoor, ex employees explain how they are told to lie to customers about deliveries - I believe them! This is not the behaviours of a reputable company! Please put reviews on Trust Pilot if you are experiencing similar problems! Owner is laughing all the way to the bank sadly! We are nearly £1000 out of pocket and no goods received! Here’s a review from one of their staff on Glassdoor!

Sorry just wanted to add that this individual claims to be a MNer but it’s so sad that someone with no moral compass stoops so low to defraud people out of their hard earned cash! I work for NHS and have worked my socks off this past 2 years and saved to have our garden done, so my daughter could enjoy it (she’s autistic) only to be ripped off by Screens With Envy. Hope the owner enjoys spending my hard earned cash on her lifestyle! I can deal with poor service but fraud and deliberately ripping off people is quite another level in my book!
