Are these baby brambles (just cleared a bramble patch id been neglecting) or some kind of wild flower/weed - anyone know?

Not 100% but I've recently received something similar looking from my neighbour who told me it's a gardenia? Possibly?

I think they are brambles, any spines in them?
Even tiny baby brambles are full of prickles.

That looks mighty like wood avens, aka Herb Bennett, to me, OP. It's a weed, sorry. Gets everywhere and is a crafty devil that needs careful winkling out.

Definitely wood avens. Get rid.

Thanks, will pull up

Wood avens, Geum urbanum. I've uprooted about 50 over the last two days.

It's only a weed if you don't want it growing where it is.
