Hi all,

We had our garden done last year and these two plants were out in for us. Can anyone tell me what they are and how to care for them so I can ensure they flower again this year?

Many thanks.

Second one is verbena bonariensis, snip of the dead bits and it soon should be sprouting again. It is a plant that seeds freely so you should have some more sprinting up.
The first one looks like a variety of pentstemon. It should flower later in the year.

Thank you! Do I need to cut the dead flowers off the first one?

for the one with pink flowers, cut it down to 6 inch long stems in late april / early may

Definitely Pentstemon. Prune as parietal said.
