Wool compost for bay tree?

I have a bay tree that I need to plant in its ultimate pot but only have wool compost - will that be okay or is it too rich?

What's wool compost? Where do you get it from?

Bays are vigorous trees. I wouldn't have thought they recognised the concept of "too rich".

Interesting!

I would have thought that was fine for a bay tree. (It's a combination of wool and bracken, for those who haven't come across it).

Oh good, well finally remembered to soak the tree yesterday so will plant today and see how it goes!
