Hello! Can anyone tell me what these are? They were under some leaves growing over the sleepers. We found them when tidying up the garden today. Please tell me they’re not spiders?

Spider eggs are like cotton wool. That just looks like mud?

Is it a fungi?

Ginfordinner · 05/04/2020 17:58

Slugs?

What, the black dot things? Some sort of seed?

They look like ivy berries, although I can't really make them out.

Squash one with a rock or something and see what's inside? It's not spiders.

Thanks all. So relieved it’s not spiders! I will squish one next time I’m out. DH thought snail eggs because there’s a little stash of empty snail shells close by. I will report back, possibly with a better picture!

Snail eggs are transparent.
