I'm on clay with a high water table. I have a spot under an oak which gets very little light. In winter this part of the garden can be waterlogged but it bakes dry in the summer. I have hydrangea taken from cuttings last spring which are ready to plant now. I also have a couple of cornus siberica. Would they survive if I prepared the ground well?
