Cistus and Halimium libanotis shrubs withered

New to gardening and using containers for now. Just looking for advice on both of these shrubs I bought last year as they look wilted and I wondered should I prune or feed

Your likely culprits are:

• The cold. Do you know how cold hardy these plants are and how sheltered are they where they are now?
• Watering- have they had too much or too little
• Vine weevil grubs- common pest in pots. They can much the roots off plants they like. The grubs are about 1-2 cm, cream and curled into a C shape

Thanks pigeon (we have had masses of rain here and I feel that may be waterlogged) also the roots have gone when I tried to repot.

All other plants look fairly healthy and I took of dead leaves etc this morning. Hopefully I will have some type of garden this year
