Cutting the grass

Stuck at home I can see the grass is getting a bit tufty!

Is it ok to cut it? For some reason I have in my head it's "too soon".

The back is very wet / soggy. So I thought I would see if it dries up a bit. No rain predicted here for a few days.

Well seemingly It's best to wait until the grass has grown over three inches in length until mowing for the first time to allow it time to build up strength

I did mine last week & noticed some lawns near me had their cut a couple of weeks before. I did wait until we had had a couple of dry sunny days to make sure it wasn’t too wet though.
