Magnolia tree for small garden

I want to add interest to my front lawn just a square patch of grass with hedge on sides

What magnolia tree would be best. Not too big as it would be in front of windows

Magnolia Stellata is lovely. I currently have one in a container but it will eventually go in back garden.
