Strawberry runners

Does anyone know which strawberry varieties produce runners and which don't? I bought some Alice strawberries this year and had some fruit, they finished fruiting at the start of this month but I have not yet seen any runners.

Anyone? Have tried googling but can't find anything. Do they just need more time or am I waiting for nothing?

I thought they all had runners but might be wrong. Perhaps they are too young?

hmmm possibly, it is their first year. Do some of them not produce in their first year?

My strawberries have not had runners yet. All seems to be a bit muddled though this year. First I had a crop of very small strawberries. Then I had a surprise second crop in some plants and now I have some flowers appearing. All out of sink. In the past I had runners every year. The first year I only had. Think there was a lot of space. Seem to get more runners, when the plants become crowded.
