Long winter flowering

Experienced Mumsnetter gardeners Which is better for long winter flowering
Winter pansies
or
Primroses/ primulas
or
Cyclamen ?

I favour the little violas for pots. I recently planted these a few weeks ago for the front of house. Last year they did amazingly well, and flowered right through until March. Pansies would probably do well too, but I prefer violas.
I used primroses a couple of years ago, and they gave a good display, but the flowers can rot in wet weather.
If you are thinking about miniature cyclamen, they aren't fully hardy (unlike species cyclamen) and a hard frost will kill them.
