What is this tolerant houseplant?

Bought a small houseplant from Tesco a few years ago in a pretty pot. Kept it in bathroom and then chucked in dark corner of box room as it was just a dark green leafed plant taking up valuable bright sunny space where a more interesting plant might thrive.

Anyhow, what is this plant, which I’be now divided into x4 as it multiplied in the pot? (When I reported it, there was no soil left, just roots!

Tape measure included for scale

Can't see clearly but is it a cordyline?

Aquamarine1029 · 10/10/2019 23:05

It kind of resembles a snake plant.

I don’t think it’s a cordyline

Has it ever had flowers of any kind? It's lovely whatever it is.

zebrasdontwearbras · 10/10/2019 23:10

Aridane · 10/10/2019 23:10

Bromeliad? The leaves may be a bit chunky for that though.

Aridane · 10/10/2019 23:18

Suggestions from uploading picture to app are

  • pineapple 🍍 Grin
  • bromeliad
  • agave
  • sanseveria

I bet the gardeners are already in bed OP Grin

Take it to a garden centre and ask them if they have one for sale. They can tell you what it is and if you feel inclined you can buy it.

PlatinumBrunette · 10/10/2019 23:41

Is it a succulent of some type?
Or try googling Peperomia, possibly P. obtusifolia?

Aridane · 11/10/2019 00:22

Oh that peperomia is so cute!! (nicer than my plant)

I wonder if it is a Sanseveria black dragon?
