How soon can i cut my new turf???

Its been down for about 4 weeks and we have been watering it just about every night but its starting to get long now.
Can i cut it yet or does it have to be left for so long first?

We were told 2 weeks when we had ours done last April, mind you it didn't need cutting for about 5 weeks.

Don't cut it short though. Put your mower on a high setting, so you give it a quick trim rather than a skinhead.
