Non-floweirng agapanthus; what am I doing wrong?

Have a few different varieties in pots, and they've been lovely in previous years - this year, not a flower between them Could it be the distinct lack of sunshine this summer? Or underfeeding (have fed them a bit, but maybe not as much as in the past)... all thoughts welcome!

Mine haven't flowred this year either neither have my aliums. Too much rain maybe.

Are they still fitting the pots ok? Or have you repotted them at all. Agapanthus tend to be a bit sulky IMO.

Thanks Peaches - haven't repotted - will check to see if I should. MegaLegs - sorry to hear that you've had the same thing. The leaves look great, but that's small consolation!

My aliums were fabbo this year, very early though

i find agapanthus sulky too - some like to be really crammed into pots and never fed, some like to be treated with TLC. I had two identical clumps either side of some french doors, one had loads of flowers in late June and teh other hasn't flowered at all.

I blame the rotton summer, although we did have a fab hot late spring. agapanthus do like a nice bake in the sun.

Hmm - sounds like I've been lucky up to now!
