Going rate for lawn mowing service?

I'm moving house next week and my lawnmower has packed up Sad I don't need one where I'm moving to so am reluctant to buy one just for this once!

My lawn is quite large probably about 15 x 20m plus another small section of 3 x 4m. Anyone hazard a guess as to how much would be reasonable for someone to quote?!

How long does it normally take you? Then you can work out an hourly rate.
Think about the fact they will need to bring own mower (which involves owning a van, insurances etc etc, so it is more than "just" labour) but it gives you a starting point.
Agree if they are taking or leaving the cuttings, if you want them to tidy the edges, etc.

It normally takes me a couple of hours Shock but that's only because my lawnmower was rubbish! Any ideas what is a reasonable amount to pay per hour? To be honest I'm not too worried as it's a one off, just don't to be totally scammed as I've never had to get a gardener before.

I pay between £12 and £15 per hour (Warwickshire) for a chap who brings his own mower but leaves the clippings in our green bin. Our lawn takes a couple of hours. Edging/strimming round the edges is extra if needed.

Thank you @DailyFailAreTwats, that's really helpful as a rough guide!

I pay £35 for two gardeners to come once a fortnight for an hour ( = 2 hours work). They bring all own equipment and take away all the cuttings (and they weed as well). However, that is for a regular, fortnightly contract.
(I'm in the Midlands)

I pay £15 once a fortnight for someone to cut my mum’s lawn. Takes just under an hour and he brings his own mower.
