DH was given this and told it was a lemon tree but I'm not convinced.

Hasn't it got lemons on it?

morningcuppatea · 28/08/2019 12:37

I don't think they look or smell like lemons, but maybe they're just not ready yet?!

Looks more like a type of orange to me.

AdaColeman · 28/08/2019 15:24

Could it be a Meyer Lemon, a hybrid lemon? Or possibly a Rangpur Lemanderin?

MereDintofPandiculation · 28/08/2019 15:44

Looks like an orange or a lemon hybrid. Not the right shape for a pure lemon. Incidentally, the yellowing leaves at the top suggests it needs some plant food.

morningcuppatea · 28/08/2019 15:46

Thanks I think you're right about the plant food Confused

Yellowing on a citrus can also be if you're using tap water rather than rainwater - they're acid lovers.

Could it be a Calamondin Orange? They are often sold in UK as ornamentals. Fruits take ages to ripen

I think calamondin as well. They are fine outside in the warmer months but will need frost protection in the winter.
