Weeds on drive way

Halo1234 · 17/08/2019 23:01

Our drive way is mono blocked. I am not a gardener. I recently power hosed it and then put fresh sand down. But for some reason green weeds are popping up through the bricks left right and centre. They are massive and much worse than before I cleaned it. Any suggestions. I read vinegar changes the ph of the land and stops weeds. Any truth in this? Anyone know? Tia.

I’d love to know the answer to this also!

I’ve heard that buying salt in bulk and spreading that in the cracks is as good as using a blow torch

We have a drive which is two years old and has sands in the gaps between the slabs but weeds are coming through now. I have found the best way is to dig them out with something long and thin and before they get too established. I use a chop stick.

I too have a problem with weeds and keeping my garden tidy, it's only small and mainly graveled, but the weeds do grow along the edges and it has climbers that need to be trimmed , does anyone know of a gardener willing to take care of this for me? I would say every 5 or 6 weeks for approx 2 to 3 hrs at a time?

You need to seal it too. There is special block paving sealant!

Oh is there. Thanks. Will have a look on Google.
