somewhere there is someone who specialises in finding plants with names, but of course I can't remember who. Will think on. If not, try specialist growers of things there are billions of varieties of, especially things americans like growing.

Try roses, clematis, day lilies, oriental poppies - ok not strictly bushes but roses qualify I think. Or go to the RHS website and use their search engine. And see if big garden centre folks like Notcutts or Hilliers or Squires have search engines.

I don't want a big mad bush to overtake my clematis either, but I use my Remington Ladyshave to keep it under control. SORRY SORRY SORRY this is the ladylike gardening thread isn't it.
