Any idea what this shrub is?

I have a very poorly shaped plant in our garden and I'd love to improve It rather than did it up.

The picture was just taken, a few weeks ago it was covered in the small white flowers and the bees loved it, hence wanting to keep it. The berries will get redder but they don't get eaten at all.

Any ideas what it is and pruning advice? It's in a narrow border next to our path so it needs to be smaller and a nicer shape if possible.

It's a cotoneaster of some sort I think.

Oh yeah, pruning, sorry! They are fine being pruned, but if you do it now, try not to cut off the branches with berries on, they look nice in the autumn and the birds love to eat them in the winter.

Thank you @yamadori The birds never eat the berries, we have lots of birds in the garden too. They look tasty but just get ignored.
