What can I do to liven up this..

We have this dead space in front of our shed, which the previous owners put bark chips down. I really don't like it, but realistically it can't be bedding plants as we need to access the shed (lawn mower etc in there).

What can I do to tidy it up?

Thanks :)

Could you put some lavender or rosemary bushes there?

Pave the rest over, add some pots?
Put shingle down with pots on top?
What sort of aspect does it have? It looks shady. Is that a bbq? I can imagine a bench in front of the shed window for the bbq operator to rest on. I like buying random things to put plants in (eg an old metal jug, a bird cage) and place them on benches to look rustic
You could paint the shed and put a window box on it. Curtains too (five years on from acquiring the material to make mine I still have not done so🙈)

I'd paint the shed dark green to blend it back and then put down some dove grey gravel, put a white metal bistro table and chair and a big tub of bright pink and white flowers infront of the dark green. Job done.

I'd do pretty much exactly what waltzingparrot says.

Or move the shed somewhere else in the garden. Or turn it sideways, make a new path and swap the hinges on the door to the other side. Actually come to think of it, that would be too much like hard work Grin
