Tree growing in my mum's garden, it grew over winter from absolutely nothing. It's currently in her vegetable beds and she's not sure whether to move it or just cut it down!Grin

Laurel? Are the leaves shiny?

Nameusernameuser · 28/06/2019 21:22

Not shiny, it literally grew over a few months!

Oh it could be! It's almost the height of her house and is in no pictures from september/October time so obviously grew fast!

Looks like laurel. Don't eat it 😉

Beebumble2 · 28/06/2019 22:35

Not sure it’s Laurel, did it have flowers?

Nameusernameuser · 29/06/2019 08:09

Could be a goat willow, they’re a good one for self-seeding and popping up out of nowhere. Are the leaves pale underneath?

SirVixofVixHall · 29/06/2019 12:54

It isn’t ash. Some sort of willow ?

Nameusernameuser · 29/06/2019 14:37

I think some sort of willow (after a Google) not sure which one though.

It's not ash and not laurel. Willow is a good call.
