Apologies in advance for my daft question Grin

My pineberry plant has suddenly decided to grow these, are these 'runners'? Google images isn't helping me much! On there, runners seem to lay flat against the ground, whereas these seem to be quite upright Confused

Yep, that's a runner IMHO.
On young plants I'd snip them off so as to focus the growth into making fruit.
On older plants you can peg them down to root new baby plants for the next generation.
