Plant ID - can anybody help?

I’m looking for some low-growing, ground-cover plants to cover the soil between taller plants in my flower beds. I came across these two plants in the garden centre recently, which I really liked. Does anyone know what they are and would they be suitable for this kind of thing? In the first image it’s the plant on the left of the photo that I’m looking at...

The first is Muehlenbeckia and the second Irish Moss and yes, they are ground cover plants.

Thanks wowfudge! Will they spread very quickly and is now a good time to plant? I get a lot of weeds and am hoping something like these will be a good deterrent!

Given the state of the weather then yes it will be okay to plant them now. It's usually not a good idea to plant in the height of summer because new plants will need regular watering until established. With any ground cover plant you have to keep an eye on them - some of them can be rampant, like the hardy geraniums we have that have beserk with all the rain. The good news is you can hack them back and they don't seem to mind.
