What is wrong with my apple tree?

What on Earth is going on with my Braeburn apple tree and how do I help it? The leaves are all curling and going brown. At first just one branch, which I cut off, but now it’s spreading through the whole tree. It has only been planted a couple of years and has just started growing little apples but it looks like the tree will be dead before I will be able to pick them.
Anyone have any idea? Thanks

No idea, but I would try picking off the individual damaged leaves and destroying them rather than cutting off branches.

looks like leaf curl, a fungal disease.

have a look at the rhs website www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=769

I couldn’t fathom if it was leaf curl or fireblight-one is fungal one is bacterial so different treatments- also wondered if it was leafrollers/aphids or apple scab. There seems to be many things that cause it but I can’t quite figure out which one it is. Just hoping it doesn’t spread to my pear and plum trees too.

I will try picking the leaves off see if it halts it.

Ooh I was going to start a similar thread for this, on a crabapple I just planted.

I was going to start a thread too. I’ve got the same problem with my Apple tree.

Sometimes a tree or a shrub just needs regular feeding, which builds up their strength to fight off diseases. You wouldn't recognise my roses since I learnt this simple fact.
