Little purple flowers

Hi, could anyone tell me what these little purple flowers are called please? I've seen them growing in abundance in other people's gardens, out of their rockery/walls and I think they look amazing! I've started getting some but they look quite weedy. How can I cultivate them or can I buy some and plant them out?
Thanks

hmm, not sure, I was going to say aubretia, but it grows in much bigger clumps.
(and is apparently easy to grow from seed, except in my garden Hmm)

Is it a kind of periwinkle?

They're quite nice, good for groundcover, and that's a lovely colour. I have tried in vain to grow them Envy

It's a rockery campanula.

Yes. I've got some, be careful where you put it as it can take over - something that can grow in a cleft in a wall is liable to go mad in good soil! I would expect all garden centres and nurseries to have them.

I got one with more gold coloured foliage last year which I think may be a bit less vigorous and more easily controlled.

I want to second Errol on this, it really really spreads. A friend of mine was going to buy some so I’ve potted some up but am going to sit her down and have a very serious talk on not turning your back on it.
