I have had this plant now for FIVE years and it has never bloomed, not once. I moved it two years ago, although it was getting 6-7 hours of sun to the front where it now gets 8 or more and it still has not bloomed. The soil is just regular, I have bee balm, cosmos, sweetpeas, morning glories, and more growing all around it. I have tried fertilizing and not fertilizing. I finally bought another one, different color, I though maybe it had to have a mate ? i don't know, it just won't bloom. Any great ideas? I should add that it is huge plant by now, ten feet and over, full, bushy, green and just beautiful, but I want some "flowers" Would love some advice.

Dropmore blooms on the previous years growth, but as you say it’s 10ft, it doesn’t sound as if you’ve pruned off the buds.
Feeding can also inhibit flowers, the plant can just put on green growth. Plants flower in order to reproduce and some need a bit of stress in order to do this. But as you say you have not fed it and still no flowers.
The only thing I can think is maybe the roots are too hot and you could treat it like a clematis, roots in the shade head in the sun.
Hopefully someone wiser will be along with other suggestions.
