Do I need to prune this back? Dead head it?

I think it's a kind of geranium? It has flowers on long stalk type things. The flowers have nearly all died off already and there are just bare stalks with the middle bit of the flowers left.

Is there anything I should do to make it flower again? Or do I just leave it until next year?

Can’t see what kind it is, but I’d probably prune it back and you might get another flush of flowers later this year

It’s a Geranium Phaeum prune ir back now for a second flowering later.

Remove all the old growth - flower stems and leaves, allowing the new growth to come through. This will keep it compact and encourage more flowering. I tend to chop the whole lot back as soon as geraniums finish flowering.
