Anyone used rolls of screening?

The ones made from bamboo or willow? Neighbours have chopped down shrubs & trees on the boundary, for reasons only apparent to them. The fence is only 4ft so no privacy now. I have things growing on my side but they won’t be full height for a few years.

So wondered if those rolls of screening are any good as a quick fix?

Is it your fence or theirs? As it will need fixing to the fence which you cannot do if it is not your fence.

I think most of them look pretty naff and don’t survive for long but if you only want it for a couple of years whilst your plants grow then it will do the job.

It’s shared as it was not specified in the deeds who was responsible so we and previous occupants shared the cost of replacing it years ago.

I put up the split bamboo to screen a shed. I just inserted pressure treated posts and those metal plant supports ( 6 ft )and wired them together.
Obviously it will rot in a few years but by then the hedge will have taken over.

It looks much better and the sweet peas loved it.
