Weeping fig tree problems....mealybugs?

Hi.
I've got a weeping fit tree. It's a bit puny, but has been happy enough, growing new leaves etc.

I think it's got mealybugs...
Over the last week or so, many of the leaves are dropping off, and there is white sort of mould on lots of it...particularly on the skinny 'trunks' and brown dots on the leaves that I'm guessing are babies?

What do I do? I've read to spray it with neem oil, but do I move it from where it is? How do I stop it from speaking to other plants? Should I just bin it?

Give it a good blast with a hosepipe outside and wash them off. You probably need to think about the conditions it is living in as well, and give it a good feed, they tend to be attacked like this when they aren't in the best of health anyway.

Then keep an eye on it, and wipe off any more you see with a small paintbrush or cotton bud dipped in cold washing-up water. The washing-up liquid helps to get rid of them.

Thanks ever so much.
Worried about giving it a blast with anything... they don't like to be touched or moved do they?!
I will do it though. He's going to die if I don't do anything isn't he. Poor thing.

The plant killer strikes again!! Blush
