Struggling creeping ceanothus

I have a very sad creeping ceanothus but I'm not sure how to help it! I planted it in spring last year, and was hoping for lovely blue flowers this year, but it generally just looks yellow-leaved and sad. It hasn't grown that much either. I thought it might be waterlogged so I dug it up about 3 weeks ago and replanted in gritty soil, but no improvement so far. It had pretty good roots as far as I could tell (sizewise). It gets a fair amount of sun, and is sheltered.

Should I (a) leave it alone or (b) dig it up again and put in a container in full sun. Thoughts please?!

Mine is the same, hoping for help! I'm thinking container. My ceanothus concha, OTOH, is looking fabulous 🤷

Sorry yours is the same @pickingdaisies but it does make me feel slightly better that it's not just me!

Anyone else?

The weather has been variable - some late frosts, cold winds, now where I am it is very dry for the time of year. And last summer we had a drought so maybe it is one of those and it needs more time.
