I've got a daphne aureomarginata in a pot on our north facing patio. I only bought it last year and it's still pretty small - probably a foot and a half, I know they're slow growing. It had lovely fragrant flowers towards the end of winter and is growing new leaves, but the last few weeks I've noticed some the old leaves turning a pale yellow colour and some of them dropping off. Not sure why this is happening. Is it too much sun? (the patio is in full shade in winter but gets quite a bit of sun this time of year) Too much/not enough water? Wrong soil? Or are they supposed to drop their leaves?? I moved it yesterday to a bigger pot with some fresh compost (good quality all purpose) but wonder if there's anything else I should be doing. I don't want to lose my lovely daphne!
