What are the leaves like, photo of leaves including where they attach is good.

But my instinct is to say - is it a buddleia?

It’s multiple stems about 6ft tall

not buddleia, leaves are the wrong shape I think.
have you just moved in? Do you know if it has flowers?
It has obviously been pruned at the end of last year.

Looks like a grey r pussy willow. Does it have catkins?

No idea if it flowers will post if it does😂 next door reached over and pruned it for us (helpful!)
