I’ve done a stupid thing in the garden and need your advice on how to fix it please. Having read that coffee grounds were good for the soil and deterring slugs, I somehow thought it would be a good idea to sprinkle a large bag of stale unused coffee grounds all around my raised beds.
After the revelation that it might not be so great to feed my kids caffeinated cucumbers I googled how much is too much coffee in the soil and found info on how acidic it is and how it’s generally rubbish for growing anything. How can I fix it? Is there some magic thing I can sprinkle on top to neautralise it? I planted out a billion seedlings yesterday and could cry at the idea of trying to lift off the top layer of soil somehow.
