We moved into an overgrown garden last year and all sorts of things are popping up. Any idea what this is? Or could it be an extravagant- looking weed?

Looks like a type of Euphorbia to me. Beware, if it is and you pick it, the sap is an irritant so wear gloves.

Thank you. I googled Euphorbia and there are 1589 varieties listed on the RHS website! I had no idea Euphorbias were so diverse.

Thank you, that's the one. I'm not that keen on the look of it and now I know it's poisonous I won't mind getting rid.
