Birds destroying tomato plants

I’ve quite recently put out my tomato plants as they were getting a little big for my small greenhouse, yet birds seem to be taking the smaller plants and stripping the big ones of any leaves.
Have managed to cover some in clear bottles, but not sure what else to do as I’ve lost several and the birds are still coming.

Put canes in the pots and link them with a single string of twine. Then get some tin foil, tear it into strips and twist the strips into bows along the twine. The reflection and movement should deter the birds.
Only use a single string of twine to prevent the birds getting tangled and trapped.

Thank you! Some already have canes in but will definitely try the tin foil 😃
